Pricing: How is the data migration price calculated?

Important thing first, though: the price of your data migration depends on

  • Number of records you have on your Source (e.g. Tickets, Companies, Changes and problems, Contacts, Agents, and Groups)
  • Number of records in your knowledge base (e.g. Articles, Categories, and Folders)
  • the Source platform you're migrating from
  • the Target platform you're migrating to
  • Selected pre-built custom options
  • Chosen Support plan
  • Availability of the automated migration (i.e., supported automated migration for Source and Target, or only Source supported, or only Target supported, or your migration pair isn’t supported in the automated migration yet)
  • Customization of your migration process done by our development team

Note: Migration Wizard transfers notes, attachments, ticket custom fields, and replies for free of charge.

What is customization? How is a custom work price calculated?

Customization is any adjustment to the default automated migration process. For example, you need to filter or migrate data in a certain way that can’t be done automatically; you want to add extra tags to tickets, or move one field into another field type, and so on. Our tech team can handle it easily with custom code developed for your data migration.

Custom work is billed separately, on top of the cost of automated data migration. Only our sales reps can tell you the price of your data migration adjustments.

How much does data migration for an unsupported platform cost?

You can migrate to or from a customer service platform that isn’t on our supported platform list. But the price of such a data migration depends on the complexity of developing and adding this very platform. So there’s no fixed price.

Once you requested the automated data migration to or from the unsupported platform, our sales rep will contact you and ask for access to your unsupported platform for calculating and generating your data migration quote.

What are the paid options? How much do the pre-built custom options cost?

Paid options are the pre-built customizations available in the mapping stage. Those options include

migrate call recordings as attachments from Zendesk to any other help desk platform
migrate content translations (aka language versions of knowledge base articles) Zendesk, Salesforce Service Cloud, Intercom, Freshdesk - each platform can be either like Source or Target
migrate side conversation Merging two Zendesk instances, your ticket side conversations are imported as side conversations. If you migrate Zendesk side conversations will be migrated as private comments
